Inland Empire native and Grammy-nominated recording artist Patty Cabrera is putting her skill to use to give back to her community and offer guidance to local families who are interested in the music industry by providing a professional recording studio in Riverside.

Cabrera has released 6 albums over the past several years in English and Spanish that have earned her a Grammy and 2 Dove Award nominations. She has also been listed as one of People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People in the World. After her tour for her last album, “Love Someone Like Me,” ended in 2005, she decided to take a break to build a recording studio and continue her graduate studies.

The studio is complete; Cabrera graduated from La Sierra University with a master’s degree in religion this past June. “I want to reach out to the families in our area who have members interested in music, even a career in music, by providing a professional studio environment,” she says, “and professional advice, in general, and vocal coaching, in particular.”

Her ultimate goal is to provide families with a truly safe and professional environment to learn about the industry, and to hone their craft based on her 16 years of experience in the industry. Cabrera is also involved with Metro Ministries and its work with inner-city youth.
